The story concerns Gauche, a professional cellist. During rehearsals for a performance, he is scolded by the conductor because his playing is not good enough. His timing is off and he seems to have no feel for the music.Gauche returns to his lonely cottage and starts practicing. Enter a cat who tricks him into understanding the inner meaning of the music. The importance of practice is shown by a cuckoo, rhythm by a badger and tenderness by a mouse. Plot Summary: Hino goes to a school that specialises in music and has two streams: the normal stream and the music stream, where the music students are regarded as the more elite. She was running late for her class one day when she saw a tiny fairy, who seemed really excited that she could see it. The next day, the entrants in the music competition, who are decided by the school, are announced. Hino’s name appears on the list – except she doesn’t play an instrument. The fairy gives her a magical violin that can be played by anyone. Reluctantly, she enters into the competition and is forced to deal with the prejudices of her peers

This is the first year of high school for the four girls, looking for that very special club.The healthy and energetic Tainaka Ritsu (club president, drums) decides to join the school's Light Music Club, only to find out that the club is about to be closed — due to the lack of members. Without much ado she drags along her childhood friend, the shy, mature, and sensitive Akiyama Mio (bass). That leaves only two more members, required to keep club from closing. Luckily the gentle, calm, warm, and cute Kotobuki Tsumugi(keyboard) stumbles into the club, only to be "convinced" by the pleading Ritsu to stay. The last member, the easily distracted klutz Hirasawa Yui, can only play castanets, even though the club needs someone on the guitar, but she is "bribed" — with cake — to stay anyway.Will Yui be able to learn to play the guitar — the special one she just bought and loves so much — before the four girls graduate?

Tanaka Yukio, better known by his nickname Koyuki is a 14 year old who feels disconnected from life in general. Through the act of saving a mismatched dog, he meets guitarist Minami Ryuusuke, and becomes involved in Ryuusuke’s new band BECK. Koyuki’s life starts to change as the band struggles towards fame.

It is the final year of high school for Hirasawa Yui (guitar), Tainaka Ritsu (drums), Akiyama Mio (bass), and Kotobuki Tsumugi (keyboard); the founding members of the Light Music Club. Together with their junior member Nakano Azusa (guitar), they spend their days after school in the music room enjoying tea and sweets, and practising music. Amidst band practice, preparations for the new student orientation performance, scouting for new members, and student responsibilities they still have time for After School Tea Time.

KoiKen Love Research club member Wakamiya Kaede comments that being an idol must be extremely easy- A comment that irritates idol Toyama Nagisa. At the suggestion of her manager, all female members of the KoiKen club are invited to become an idol unit with Nagisa. Kaede then realizes that maybe being an idol isn't so easy after all...

Keiichiro, a young man who lives alone in his house, went through a lot of pain in his life, since the tragic car accident that killed his parents and younger sister, blaming himself for surviving.One rainy day, he seeks shelter in an old shrine. There he notices a little girl, sitting on a chair, surrounded by garbage. She herself is garbage — an abandoned android dumped here by someone, holding a sunflower in her hands. Stricken by sudden sadness, he takes her with him to an android repair shop, where he is told that she will never function. So returning home, he dumps her in the dirty bathroom. Waking up the next morning, though, Keiichiro finds the little android girl standing in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. Still without a name — remembering the sunflower — Keiichiro names her Flower. And so begins the life for these two unlikely protagonists.

In order to be more in the eyes of the public, Miss Monochrome begins working to become a top-selling idol. Spacey Miss Monochrome once again runs around the idol show biz world, being tossed around by others.
