Episode 3 Plot: Several Hole residents arm themselves for the "Night of the Living Dead," an annual event where stray magic causes dead experiments to rise from the grave as zombies, and local priests have turned the night into a competition, offering prizes for whoever can collect enough metal plates from the zombies' necks. Kaiman, Nikaido, and Vaux decide to join the festivities. Menawhile, Fujita gets Noi to magically heal Ebisu before Shin leads the group to the Hole to hunt down Kaiman and Nikaido. However, they land in the middle of the Night. Later, Kaiman and Nikaido find themselves facing off against Shin and Noi, while Ebisu gets bitten by a zombie. Shin and Noi quickly beat them down, forcing Nikaido to use her own magic power to create a Door and escape. Five days later, Kaiman recovers in the hospital when Vaux tells him Nikaido is a sorcerer, but Kaiman doesn't believe him. Kaiman returns to the Hungry Bug as Nikaido wonders what he'll think of her past as a sorcerer. Soon after, Vaux appears with Kaiman's severed head in a jar, unsure what to do with it after Kaiman somehow regrew it. The three head to the hospital to perform an autopsy on the head, but are soon interrupted by an invisible force that shuts off the hospital's power and steals the head in the confusion.
