Episode 48 Plot: The Shinsengumi capture one of the three Parco Brothers’ allies and the brothers go after Hijikata in retaliation. The youngest brother waits for Hijikata's day off and sits next to Hijikata in a restaurant, preparing to strike, but the sight of the Hijikata Special, a bowl of rice topped with mayonnaise, and the Uji Gintoki-Don, a bowl of rice topped with a large helping of azuki beans, leads to an argument between Hijikata and Gintoki, and an unexpected knockout of the youngest Parco brother. The three Parco Brothers withdraw, but they haven't given up on Hijikata yet. Little do they know that they will be drawn into Gintoki and Hijikata's fierce battle of pride…
