Episode 1 Plot: Towa Higurashi was captured and interrogated by a feudal lord for future possessions, including a book of Reiwa Era and the seat from her aunt Kagome's bicycle. She does not comply, certain that sharing info from the future will alter the past. The story then shifts back to several years ago with Kagome living in the feudal era with Inuyasha and their friends. Inuyasha and Miroku meet the Root Head, a demon whom Kikyō sealed many decades ago. Unaware of Kagome, the Root Head attacks her, but Inuyasha destroys it, though a small part of the demon has survived. Back in the present, Towa is rescued by her twin sister Setsuna and their first cousin Moroha, who identify the lord attendant as the ayakashi Yotsume in disguise and chase after it, but before departing, Towa confiscates the book and bike part.
