Episode 20 Plot: TV psychic Gilles de L'Enfer seeks to prove his powers against Hell Girl. Ai and her companions seem overmatched, but Hiroshi "Esper" Watanabe, the phony whom Gilles had humiliated and manipulated to summon Hell Girl, wants revenge. L'Enfer manages to catch glimpses of Ai's past while Ai's companions muse that Ai must have some kind of connection to Hajime's daughter, Tsugumi, since she can sometimes see through Ai's eyes (her visions).
