Episode 1 Plot: The first episode basically introduces us to Xin and Piao, two slaves who have grown as sword training buddies and pseudo brothers with a common dream of growing up to be great generals. One day whilst training, Piao gets selected to by a minister to enter the palace as an aid, leaving Xin behind. A month later, Piao appears in front of Xin at death’s door with a cryptic instruction and the news of a coup d’etat happening in the palace fronted by the King’s little brother. Xin then runs away following Piao instructions and a map that leads him to a shed which contains a second Piao.
