Episode 9 Plot: The rejected Lisa decides to go back to just friends with Outani in order to not worry Nobuko and her other friends. It's the second day of the school trip. As chance would have it, they run into Umibouzu who's on vacation with his family. Both of them are awestruck. When Lisa asks Umibouzu's wife how they met, she reveals that they were highschool sweethearts who once broke up, only to get back together some time later and got married. Those words give Lisa courage and she decides to accept her feelings. She tells Outani that since she likes him, she's cancelling reverting everything back "just friends". Thus the two of them settle at "more than friends, less than lovers".
