Episode 1 Plot: After landing in Kashgar, Xinjiang, China, in the 1970s, a race of foreign invaders called BETA has pushed the nations of the world to their limits, finally reaching the islands of Japan in 1998. Komaki Sayoko, a Tactical Surface Fighter pilot in the Imperial Japanese Army, assumes her new post at Sadogashima base, where she soon learns of the horros of war when the outnumbered forces face the advancing BETA.
