Episode 10 Plot: Hachimaki notices that both Tanabe and Yuri have been acting strange lately. Tanabe is preoccupied with her discovery of Gigalt having cancer, both worried that Hachimaki may suffer the same fate and concerned about having to keep it a secret from him. Philippe Myers later reveals that Yuri was aboard a sub-orbital shuttle with his wife, who was killed after orbital debris struck it. On a routine debris retrieval mission, Yuri finds the only keepsake of his deceased wife, a compass she brought as a good luck charm, which he has been searching for ever since the accident. However, because he was forced to move into the path of debris to retrieve it he is struck, knocked unconscious, and forced into the Earth's atmosphere. Both Hachimaki and Tanabe are forced to risk their lives to save him.
