Episode 116 Plot: The next battle of the Pokémon World Championships Masters Tournament between Wataru and Carnet begins. Wataru takes an early lead when his Kairyu overpowers Carnet's Amaruruga. Carnet sends out Pumpjin, while Wataru's next Pokémon is his shiny Gyarados. The battle becomes tied after Pumpjin defeats Gyarados. Next, Wataru sends out Sazandra and takes out Pumpjin, helping him earn a 2–1 lead. Carnet's last Pokémon is her ace, Sirknight, which immediately becomes Mega Sirknight. Mega Sirknight deals a super effective Moonblast and takes out Sazandra, tying the battle once again. Kairyu returns to the battle and is eventually Daimaxed. However, Kairyu isn't able to take the upper hand and ends up being defeated. Along with Dande, Carnet advances to the semifinals.
