Episode 39 Plot: Crona is visited by Eruka again, who tells him to return to Medusa. Meanwhile, Arachne visits Asura alone in the mountains to ask for an alliance against the DWMA, but Asura thrashes her about. Maka and Soul begin to search for Crona, after Death Scythe informs them that Crona has gone missing; it is revealed that Crona is outside of the DWMA walking in the desert sand, where Crona then falls into a hole and sits there, trying to hide from everyone. Back at Arachnophobia, Asura eventually has allied with Arachne. Maka and Soul find Crona in the hole, where Crona confesses about putting Medusa's snake in Marie's tea. Lord Death discusses with Death Scythe and Maka about Crona's betrayal when Sid suddenly announces that Medusa has come to the DWMA to surrender.
