Episode 1 Plot: The story begins in the year 1213 in the city of Tus, Persia (modern-day Iran). Sitara, a young orphan girl separated from her mother, is sold into slavery. Fortune favors her when she is bought and adopted by Fatima, a kind woman from an upper-class family filled with scholars and scientists. At first, Sitara rebels against education and tries to escape multiple times to return to her homeland. However, Fatima's son, Muhammad, gently convinces her of the power of knowledge. He explains that by becoming wise, she will always know what to do even in the darkest times. Sitara eventually relents and deeply immerses herself in mathematics, theology, and literature. For years, they live a peaceful life rich in knowledge. But their peaceful world is suddenly shattered. At the end of the episode, the Mongol Empire, which is aggressively expanding its territory, approaches the city of Tus. A ruthless army led by Tolui, the fourth son of Genghis Khan, prepares to invade Sitara's home, threatening to destroy everything she has come to love.
