Later, Vanitas encounters Roland and Olivier in the street and after he describes his condition, they proclaim that he is in love, much to his astonishment and horror. Meanwhile, Jeanne confides in Luca how she feels about Vanitas and he explains to her surprise that she has fallen for him.
