Episode 40 Plot: After chasing him through the castle, Yuugi and friends find Pegasus badly injured, with his Millennium Eye missing. Pegasus reveals that he honored his promise and released the three souls he held captive. Soon after, Anzu finds Pegasus' diary which tells how he received the Millennium Eye and why he held the Duelist Kingdom tournament. They are then confronted by an Egyptian named Shadi, who brings a few answers and more questions regarding the seven Millennium items.
